Using substances such as aspartame or saccharin to sweeten food, we do not provide the body with unnecessary calories, but we also do not use the benefits, what carbohydrates give. Sweeteners, having a different chemical composition than sugar, they do not have a calming effect on us, nor do they provide energy. The only sweetener with health benefits is xylitol, added, among others. for chewing gums (e.g.. Orbit), which prevents tooth decay.
