New makeup is a contradiction of traditional ways of makeup. The order in which the cosmetics were applied has changed, and current trends make it necessary to emphasize the characteristic features of the face.
Over the years, you have been working out a way of applying makeup. You make up quickly and rather routinely. But try to change that. If you want to be fashionable, start painting differently than before.
You have to accept your face
Accept and like. Take a close look at it and tell yourself, that is unique. Observe, what this uniqueness is all about. Maybe you have a Greek nose or a prominent mouth? When painting, you should consider and emphasize this, what is distinctive about your face. Choose from the prevailing makeup trends, that best suit your individuality.
Before you start painting yourself
You should get two shades of foundation (one shade lighter than the skin tone, and the other in her shade), blush and eye shadows (preferably in a cream) and mascara: black for brunettes, gray or brown for lighter skinned ladies. You will also need a concealer and necessarily loose powder. Give up traditional sponges to spread the foundation.
A new way of painting
You apply the foundation with your fingers. It is not a mask, on which you will apply other colors, but an element that shapes your face. On its first layer, you spread shadows on the eyelids and blush on the cheeks. Then you scoop the foundation on your fingertips and cover your face with it again. In this way, the colors are muted and look more natural.
- With a lighter shade of foundation or concealer, you cover up the places, where fatigue is most evident – under the eyes and in their corners, between the gaps of the eyebrows and at the corners of the mouth. To cover up color differences, once again you take a light foundation on your fingertips and spread it all over your face.
- You highlight your eyebrows, you paint your eyelashes. You powder your entire face with loose powder applied with a large brush. You tug the tips of your eyelashes several times with mascara.
- Finally, you paint your lips with lipstick. You press the excess lipstick on a tissue and powder again.
The makeup must look natural, the colors that are fashionable this season are subdued. You choose beige shades for a fair complexion, peach, brown and dim pink. The painted face should be dull. You emphasize your eyes with eyeshadows. You can also put shadows in a subtle light beige color… under eyes. In this make-up, you definitely give up the traditional line on the eyelids made with a pencil or eyeliner.
