Hot water will keep you warm longer, if a tablespoon of salt is added to the boiling water, e.g.. to the bubble, bottles, thermophore. This method is also used in many farms for the certification of preserves, to increase the water temperature.
The fire will start easier under the kitchen or in the fireplace, if the firewood is sprinkled with table salt.
