Healthy cranberries

mountain ashIt is no coincidence that we are writing about cranberries now, because they should be collected after the first frost. They are even tastier when harvested in late winter or spring, because they perfectly store in natural conditions, when snow covers them.

Although they have little nutritional value, they are credited with remarkably healing properties. They help with liver ailments and diseases of the urinary system. It is believed, that they prevent the formation of kidney stones.

Juices are made from cranberry berries, jams, jellies, uses for cakes, ice cream, liqueurs. Cranberries, fried with sugar, are combined with mustard, horseradish, wine and served with meat and poultry.
